The Week in Review

Is time flying by for anyone else, or is it just me?  Whewwww!  Thought I'd catch you up on a few things going on here in the next few days...

This weekend, Lily is performing, with the 7th-12th graders from our homeschool co-op, a dinner musical entitled, "Smoke on the Mountain: Homecoming".  They will perform Friday night, a Saturday matinee and again on Saturday night.  It is about a family living in the mountains in North Carolina in 1945.  Lily has been determined to keep as much as possible secret so that we will be totally surprised when we watch the performance tomorrow night.  I can't wait! 
On Saturday, I will be helping with the food preparations for both meals and whatever else comes with that responsibility.  Two of the three shows have sold out and the other is 3/4 full. 

Tomorrow, Tim and Gracie are going to the circus in Oklahoma City.  There is a large assisted living/nursing home in our town and our neighbors both work there.  They are taking the residents on a field trip to the circus, including lunch out, and asked if we could help with pushing wheelchairs, "crowd control", etc. :)  Lily and I can't go as I'll be busy getting her situated for her dress rehearsal and preparing food for the actors. But, Tim and Gracie can...you can imagine her excitement not only for the circus but to help out with the "old people".  It will be a full day.  They'll return in time to come to the show tomorrow night. 

As for our chicks...all ten are alive and fluttering!  They grow so quickly and are definitely on their way out of the cute stage.  (If they could just stay young a little bit longer!)   We had to cover the top of the bin with wire as a few were getting brave and/or lucky and made their way over the top edge.  We're busily trying to decide what type of coop to go with...buy or build.  Hmmmmmm.....
